The Elders Way offers coaching, education, programs, workshops, retreats, gatherings, written materials, digital resources, and other personal-development experiences.

Specific offerings may have additional terms provided at the time of registration, purchase, or enrollment. Those terms become part of your agreement with The Elders Way for that particular offering.

Coaching Disclaimer

Mikki Proffitt is a certified coach.

Coaching is a collaborative process intended to support reflection, awareness, personal development, decision-making, and meaningful change.

Coaching is educational and developmental in nature. It is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or another licensed professional service.

Nothing provided by Mikki Proffitt or The Elders Way should be understood as a diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or substitute for advice or care from an appropriately qualified professional.

If you need medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other licensed professional assistance, you are responsible for seeking support from an appropriately qualified provider.

Your Responsibility

You remain responsible for your own choices, decisions, actions, well-being, and results.

You decide what ideas, practices, reflections, or suggestions are appropriate for you and whether and how you choose to act on anything explored through coaching, programs, workshops, retreats, website content, or other offerings.

Your participation is voluntary.

Results Disclaimer

Personal growth and coaching are individual experiences. The Elders Way does not promise or guarantee any specific personal, professional, financial, relationship, business, or other outcome.

Testimonials, stories, examples, or descriptions of another person's experience reflect that individual's experience. They do not guarantee that you will experience the same or similar results.

Your results depend on many factors unique to you, including your circumstances, choices, participation, and actions.

Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

Payment, cancellation, and refund terms may vary depending on the type and length of an offering. Applicable terms will be communicated before purchase or enrollment.

By completing a purchase or enrolling in a program, you agree to the payment and cancellation terms presented for that offering.

5-Week Programs

Five-week programs are paid in full at the time of enrollment.

Because of the short duration of these programs and the commitment involved in reserving your place, all payments are final and non-refundable once enrollment is complete.

11-Month Programs

Enrollment in an 11-month program is a commitment to the full coaching experience. Payments are made monthly according to the payment schedule provided at enrollment.

The Elders Way recognizes that circumstances and needs can change. If you decide that you need to leave an 11-month program before its completion, you may do so by providing 30 days' written notice.

You are welcome to have a completion conversation with Mikki during that notice period to reflect on your decision, your experience, and what you want to carry forward. This conversation is offered as an opportunity for thoughtful closure and is not required in order to end your participation.

Your regular monthly payment remains due during the 30-day notice period. After the notice period ends, future monthly payments will cease.

Payments already made are non-refundable.

Monthly payments do not make an 11-month program a month-to-month membership. At enrollment, you are making an 11-month commitment, with the 30-day cancellation provision above available should you need to end that commitment early.

Personalized Programs, Workshops, Retreats & Special Offerings

From time to time, The Elders Way may offer personalized coaching, private programs, workshops, retreats, gatherings, intensives, live events, or other special experiences.

Because the scope, duration, location, costs, and level of support for these offerings may vary, each offering may have its own payment, cancellation, transfer, and refund terms. Those terms will be provided before registration or enrollment and become part of your agreement when you purchase or register.

For workshops, retreats, and live events, The Elders Way may make financial commitments to venues, accommodations, facilitators, vendors, materials, or other services in advance. For this reason, some payments or deposits may become non-refundable after specified dates.

If an offering allows you to transfer your registration to another person or receive a credit toward a future offering, those options and any applicable conditions will be stated in the terms for that offering.

If The Elders Way cancels an event or offering, the applicable cancellation and refund options will be communicated directly to registered participants.

Program-specific terms apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions. If there is a conflict regarding payment, cancellation, transfer, or refund terms, the terms provided for the specific offering will govern.

Payment Processing

Payments may be processed securely through Stripe.

By making a purchase, you also agree to any applicable terms and policies of the payment processor.

The Elders Way does not intentionally store complete credit or debit card information.

Scheduling

The Elders Way may use Calendly to schedule coaching sessions, consultations, meetings, or other appointments.

Information you provide through Calendly is also subject to Calendly's own privacy practices and terms.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original content and materials created by Mikki Proffitt and The Elders Way are the intellectual property of Mikki Proffitt / The Elders Way.

This includes, where applicable, teachings, written materials, frameworks, exercises, methods, course and program materials, recordings, videos, downloads, graphics, retreat materials, workshop materials, and other original resources.

Purchasing or receiving access to these materials gives you permission to use them for your own personal purposes. It does not transfer ownership of the materials to you.

You may not reproduce, publish, teach, sell, distribute, license, commercially exploit, or present these materials as your own without prior written permission from The Elders Way.

Confidentiality & Group Experiences

Information shared within a private coaching relationship will be treated with care and discretion, subject to applicable law and any separate coaching agreement.

If you participate in a group program, workshop, retreat, gathering, or community experience, you agree to respect the privacy of other participants.

The Elders Way can establish expectations for confidentiality in group spaces but cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Please use your own judgment when deciding what personal information you choose to share in a group environment.

Ending a Coaching Relationship

You always retain the right to end your participation in coaching, subject to the payment and cancellation provisions applicable to your program.

The Elders Way also reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or end services when reasonably necessary, including in situations involving non-payment, abusive or disruptive conduct, misuse of materials, violation of program agreements, or circumstances in which continuing the coaching relationship is no longer appropriate.

Any remaining financial obligations or refunds will be handled according to the terms applicable to the specific offering and applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mikki Proffitt and The Elders Way will not be responsible for losses, damages, or outcomes resulting from decisions or actions you take based on website content, coaching, educational materials, programs, workshops, retreats, or other services.

You understand that participation in coaching and personal-development work involves your own judgment, choices, and responsibility.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Third-Party Services & Links

The Elders Way may use third-party services to support the website and its offerings, including services for payment processing, scheduling, website hosting, email communication, video meetings, analytics, or other business functions.

These providers operate according to their own terms and privacy policies.
