Reflecting on failure and rising from it can be a powerful way to learn and grow. Here are some journal prompts to help you explore these themes.

      • Describe a time when you faced a significant failure. What happened, and how did it make you feel?
      • What were the key lessons you learned from that failure? How did it change your perspective or approach to similar situations?
      • Think about a specific skill or quality you developed from overcoming a failure. How has this skill or quality positively impacted your life?
      • Consider a person or mentor who played a role in helping you rise after a failure. What advice or support did they offer, and how did it influence your journey?
      • Reflect on a time when you doubted yourself after a failure. What strategies did you use to regain confidence and belief in your abilities?
      • Write about a goal or aspiration you achieved after experiencing a setback. How did the initial failure contribute to your eventual success?
      • Explore any lingering fears or insecurities related to past failures. How can you use these feelings as motivation to push forward and try again?
      • Describe a specific situation where you took a risk after experiencing failure. What was the outcome, and how did overcoming your fear of failing again feel?
      • Consider a role model or public figure who has openly discussed their failures. How does their story inspire you to embrace your own shortcomings and keep moving forward?
      • Imagine a hypothetical scenario where you are advising someone who has just experienced a major setback. What wisdom or encouragement would you share with them?
      • Write a letter to your past self, offering comfort and guidance after a particularly challenging failure. What would you say to provide hope and reassurance?
      • Visualize a future version of yourself who has succeeded after overcoming numerous failures. Describe this future self and the path they took to get there.

Remember, the key is to be honest and introspective in your responses. Use these prompts as a starting point for self-reflection and personal growth.

About Mikki Proffitt
My mission in life is to create a space where women like you can share your stories from a place of truth, vulnerability, and safety. Where you can be raw and real, without masks or pretense. You can come as you are, feel seen, heard, held, and witnessed without judgment, and be surrounded by love. As a woman whose own healing journey through childhood trauma, abuse, and addiction I have spent over three decades in a career of service to others as an addictions counselor, trauma-informed breathwork, grief movement, and EFT Practioner. My deepest desire is that my work helps women end their suffering as they remember who they are, reclaim their power, and reignite their purpose.
